Allocation Rules for Sequential Clinical Trials.

Abstract

The work of Flehingher, Louis, Robbins, and Singer (Proc. Nat. Acad. Sci. U.S.A., 1972), Robbins and Siegmund (JASA, 1974), Louis (Biometrika, 1975), and Hayre (Biometrika, 1979) is reviewed. Variations of the basic model, including stratification and randomized allocation, are considered, and the results of some simulations presented. (Author)
