Oceanographic Investigation of the East Greenland Polar Front in Autumn.

Abstract

Dense data sampling, both horizontally and vertically, have provided new insight into the time/space variability of the East Greenland Polar Front during late autumn. A core of warm Atlantic Intermediate Water (AIW) is frequently found pressed against the eastern edge of the front which is warmer than previously described and is often fragmented and full of finestructure.
