Beach Profile Analysis System (BPAS). Volume IV. BPAS User's Guide: Analysis Module SURVY2.

Abstract

This report provides user instructions for processing analysis module SURVY2, a part of the beach Profile Analysis System (BPAS). The BPAS is a package of computer programs which edit and analyze beach profile data. The objective of the analysis is to compute and display changes in unit volume, shoreline position, and profile geometry. SURVY2 displays beach profile changes, through time, at a locality by providing plots and tables of the changes in distance to selected beach contours. The means of these distances through time at a locality are also computed and displayed, along with linear regression analysis of the change in shoreline position through time.
