Principles of Warning and Criteria Governing Eligibility of National Warning Systems (NAWAS) Terminals.

Abstract

The purpose of the guide is to provide civil defense and emergency management personnel with information concerning the basic principles of warning. The guide includes descriptions of the types of warning signals and their meaning, the Emergency Broadcast System (EBS), tests, exercise terms, basic steps in dissemination of warning, and criteria governing eligibility of National Warning System (NAWAS) terminals.
