Abstract

The report provides a summary record of significant design, construction, and operational data on the Gavins Point Dam embankment. This report presents a general description of the foundation conditions, the type of material and placement methods of the various sections of the embankment, the design considerations on stability and seepage control, instrumentation, significant operational events, and an evaluation of the condition of the embankment. Pertinent drawings, design, data, charts, and photos are included.
