The Phase Diagram Cd-Hg-Te.

Abstract

This memorandum reports the results of a study of the published literature on the Cd-Hg-Te phase diagram and adds some further data from RSRE(Royal Signals and Radar Establishment) studies of the microstructure of alloys from the Te-rich carrier of the ternary phase diagram. Where possible, attempts have been made to assess the relative merits of the data and to indicate that preferred result in cases where severe discrepancies appear between the various author's results. For ease of reference the thermodynamic data available have been converted to standard values and summarised in tabular form. (Author)
