Emergency Medical Response Capability Analysis

Abstract

This study addresses the current capacity of the government to cope with the health and medical aspects of a national crisis situation. The report includes a historical description of health mobilization planning and an assessment of the current mobilization preparedness in terms of responsibilities and current mobilization availability of resources. The report concludes that the government is currently unable to effectively coordinate the medical aspects of the national response to a major crisis.
