Recombination and Chemical Reactions in Dense Ionized Gases.

Abstract

A new and basic theory of ion-ion recombination in a dense gas has been developed from basic microscopic principles. The recombination rate is provided as a function of gas density, ion density and time. Various simplified treatments of ion-ion recombination are also presented. Research progress accomplished between January 1 - December 1981 is fully documented in seven published papers which appear as Appendices A - G of this report. (Author)
