PILOT: A Precision Intercoastal Loran Translocator. Volume 3. Software.

Abstract

This report discusses the software involved in a Coast Guard aid to navigation which evolved from the Loran Assist Device (LAD) to the development of microprocessors into the present PILOT system. The object of the PILOT system is to demonstrate that Loran repeatability can be used successfully to pilot harbors and rivers without significantly increasing the workload of bridge personnel.
