Special Defense Acquisition Fund (SDAF) Requirement

Abstract

In order to reduce impacts of US equipment diversions, PL 97-113, 29 Dec 81, authorized establishment of the SDAF to procure high demand, long leadtime, short supply items in anticipation of foreign requirements. Study developed uniform criteria for identification of items and quantities to be procured. It examined d versions over past five years and recommends items for acquisition FY 84-88.
