Thermophysical and Electrical Properties of Metal Matrix Composites

Abstract

This report presents the available experimental data and information compiled from the scientific and technical literature on five properties of eight groups of metal matrix composites. The five properties are the thermal linear expansion, thermal conductivity, specific, heat, thermal emittance, and the electrical resistivity. The eight groups of metal matrix composites are the various composites of aluminum and aluminum alloy matrices, copper matrix, lead matrix, magnesium matrix, nickel and nickel alloy matrices, titanium and titanium alloy matrices, tungsten matrix, and zinc matrix. Most of the data are for aluminum and aluminum alloy matrix composites.
