Annual Research Progress Report, FY 1980.

Abstract

During Fiscal Year 1980 progress was attained at the Letterman Army Institute of Research in the following research areas: Basic and applied studies on blood, blood products and blood substitutes; physiology of hemorrhagic shock, pharmacological intervention of shock; the determination of coherent radiation exposure thresholds causing damage to the eye, definition and treatment for laser injuries of the skin and eye; military stress and combat effectiveness; evaluation and toxicology of insect repellents; defense against chemical agents. The progress made in this fiscal year is described in the reports of the work units presented. (Author)
