Energetic Thermoplastic Elastomers

Abstract

The objective of the research was to investigate the synthesis and polymerization of energetic and nonenergetic monomers to provide thermoplastic elastomers for use as binders in solid gun propellants and cast-cured explosives. The polymer systems investigated were designed to meet the requirements of the Navy's LOVA (low vulnerability ammunition) program. (Author)
