Measurements of the Attenuation of an Army Headset.

Abstract

Acoustic attenuation measurements have been made on a headset currently in use in British armoured military vehicles, which is reported to demonstrate good low-frequency noise attenuation. The results of the tests are reported and discussed with reference to the use of this form of earmuff assembly in a helicopter crew helment, since helicopter cabin noise is predominantly low-frequency in nature.
