Lagrangian Current Measurements at Phelps Bank.

Abstract

An NRL remote sensing experiment was conducted in July 1982 to measure ocean surface manifestations of subsurface topography and hydrography. The central topographic feature in the operational area was Phelps Bank (40 deg 50 min N - 69 deg 20 min W). This report presents the results of Lagrangian current measurements made in the vicinity of Phelps Bank during the field exercises.
