Phase Conjugate Optics.

Abstract

The purpose of this program is to study both theoretically and experimentally the use of phase conjugate optics for information processing and image transmission applications. The objectives are to analyze and develop phase conjugation techniques for optical signal processing, and to determine the usefulness of phase conjugation for restoring spatial information transmitted over multimode optical fibers, and to study real-time optical convolution and correlation of spatially modulated input waves.
