Installation Restoration Program. Phase I. Records Search, Norton AFB, California.

Abstract

The Department of Defense (DOD) has developed a program to identify and evaluate past hazardous material disposal sites on DOD property, to control the migration of hazardous contaminants, and to control hazards to health or welfare that may result from these past disposal operations. This program is called the Installation Restoration Program (IRP). The IRP has four phases consisting of Phase I, Initial Assessment/Records Search; Phase II, Confirmation; Phase III, Technology Base Development; and Phase IV, Operations. Engineering-Science (ES) was retained by the Air Force Engineering and Services Center to conduct the Phase I, Initial Assessment/Records Search for McGuire AFB under Contract No. F08637-80-G-0009, Call No. 0017, using funding provided by the Military Airlift Command.
