A Language-Oriented Interactive Programming Environment Based on Compilation Technology

Abstract

The purpose of the research in this dissertation is to study a new approach supporting a programmer with the construction and maintenance of programs. Our goal is to provide an integrated interactive programming environment that has some understanding of the programmer's tasks and actively participates in their solution. As a result it reduces the amount of time spent by a programmer at the possible expense of computer resources, which are readily available on the new generation of computers, the personal computers. This programming environment is known under the term Language-Oriented Interactive Programming Environment(LOIPE).
