Alterable Magnetic Gratings for Fiber Optic Switching.

Abstract

Optical mode switching of fiber light can enhance the capability of fiber optic communications systems by eliminating opto-electronic-opto converters at switching nodes and by performing the switching even on crosstalk-prone high data rate channels. During this program several aspects of the stripe domain alterable grating were studied in a fiber optic switch mode. (Author)
