Control System Functional Criteria for Modernized Forced Air Dry Facility

Abstract

By addressing questions of coordination in a module composed of heating, drying, and pollution abatement processes, the functional criteria for the Forced Air Dry control system gives the designer a basic statement of the required control functions. A hierarchical structure has been developed for system and process analyses in order to determine the control hardware required for these control functions. Results, when available, from planned pilot plant operations are to be added to this hierarchical structure for development of a well-defined operating strategy. This method of analysis and design development can be used for system engineering any pilot or full scale manufacturing system.
