Analysis of Non-Periodic Surface Acoustic Wave Transducers and Reflectors.

Abstract

In this report, a method is presented to calculate the response of non-periodic surface acoustic wave transducers, and also a method that can be used to calculate the reflection and phase shift of non-periodic reflective arrays. The methods do not consider mechanical effects, so grooved reflector arrays can not be analyzed. However a large majority of surface wave devices can be analyzed using one or both of these two methods.
