EDITSPEC: System Manual. Volume I. System Overview,

Abstract

The EDITSPEC System is an automated system designed to produce construction specifications from Corps of Engineers Guide specifications. The system uses one central computer and a communications network to provide remote terminal access by Corps offices, nationwide to a central data base. This volume provides computer programmers with an overview of the EDITSPEC computer system. The system structure is presented in Chapter 1. Basic system execution programs are described in Chapter 2. Chapter 3 describes ther backup and restoration procedures, while chapter 4 contains the data conversion procedure.
