Abstract

The EDITSPEC System is an automated system designed to produce construction specifications from Corps of Engineers Guide Specifications. The System uses one central computer and a communications network to provide remote terminal access by Corps offices, nationwide to a central data base. This volume provides the operators and maintainers with an overview of their responsibilities. The first chapter presents the general operational structure of the EDITSPEC system. The second chapter contains the computer system operation guidelines. The last chapter describes the general maintenance requirements. The appendixes include material on backup system commands and file restoration procedures.
