Specifications of a Simulation Model for a Local Area Network Design in Support of Stock Point Logistics Integrated Communications Environment (SPLICE).

Abstract

This thesis gives the specifications of a simulation model for a particular Local Area Network (LAN) system which implements functions of the Stock Point Logistics Integrated Communications Environment (SPLICE). First, system simulation and LAN components and performance measures are discussed in general. Then, the components of a LAN system model employing bus architecture are identified and modeled as an open network of queues. (Author)
