Application of the Sterility Principle for Tsetse Fly Eradication or Control. Revision.

Abstract

This review deals with the conditions required for the successful application of the sterile insect technique (SIT). The prerequisites necessary for conducting field trials are outlined, information needed are itemized. Primary consideration focusses on the applicability and feasibility of SIT as an integral part of tsetse fly suppression.
