Strategic Requirements for the Army to the Year 2000. Volume VII. Africa.

Abstract

This report provides global and regional requirements which will contribute to development of Army long-range doctrine, manning, force design and materiel requirements. It determines a range of environments which will likely confront the nation and the Army and identifies factors that will have major implications for the Army. It also develops Army-wide strategic requirements and recommends general directions that the Army can take to meet strategic requirements. Region-specific analysis was performed for African continent. Likely areas of conflict in Africa are identified.
