Multi-Criterion Layout Evaluation: The Value Measurement Problem,

Abstract

This paper addresses the problem of explicitly incorporating multiple criteria in the selection of a facility layout. The approach is based on the composite criterion model of Srinivasan and Shocker and utilizes the concepts of intrinsic attributes, which are location-oriented, and flow attributes, which are interaction-oriented. A methodology is described in detail and illustrated by a small example. (Author)
