Park River Local Protection Auxiliary Conduit Tunnel As-Built Foundation Report, Hartford, Connecticut. Volume I. Main Report.

Abstract

The report documents the construction of an inverted siphon-syphon-shaped flood control auxiliary conduit using a precast concrete tunnel lining. The use of this construction technique is the first time it has been used by the Corps of Engineers below the ground water surface in an urban environment. The construction history including time and cost is summarized in charts and graphs with a narrative description of construction procedures and documentation. (Author)
