This information is in addition to the testimony given by DOD witnesses. A descriptive Summary is provided for each program element within the USAF FY 1984 RDT/E Program. A Test and Evaluation section is provided for major weapon systems. The formats and contents of this document are in accordance with the guidelines and requirements of the Congressional Committees insofar as possible. The 'RESOURCES' portion of the Descriptive Summaries includes, in addition to RDT/E funds, procurement funds and quantities, Military Construction Appropriation funds on specific development programs, Operation and Maintenance Appropriation funds where they are essential to the development effort described, and where appropriate, Department of Energy (DOE) costs.
