Installation Restoration Program. Phase II. Problem Confirmation and Quantification Study, Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome, New York.

Abstract

A sophisticated study was accomplished at Griffiss AFB, NY, to quantify the degree of adverse environmental quality impact, if any, caused by past domestic and hazardous wastes management practices. The final report reveals minimal adverse impact. Recommendations for proper closure actions at two sanitary landfills as well as actions addressing two facets of past hazardous waste practices are included.
