ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) PVS (Propagation Validation System) Field Strength Measurements - January and February 1978.

Abstract

From September 1976 to December 1978, extremely low frequency (ELF) field-strength and effective-noise measurements were taken aboard operational submarines. The results of measurements taken in Connecticut and aboard two submarines during January and February of 1978 are discussed. Particular attention is focused on simultaneous Connecticut and North-Atlantic-area measurements before, during, and after the 13 February 1978 significant solar-particle event. (Author)
