Abstract

Five prehistoric sites within the impact zone of the Gainesville portion of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway were excavated under this contract. This volume documents the excavations and sets forth a feature typology. Other volumes present the ceramic description and chronology (Volume 2), the lithic analysis (Volume 3), the biocultural studies (Volume 4), and the synthesis (Volume 5). (Author)
