Imaging Sensor Development for Scattering Atmospheres.

Abstract

Several approaches are studied to determine their effectiveness in extracting a low contrast target image from a nonuniform background bias. The approaches are chosen for their potential of being implemented in a real-time imaging system. Novel techniques for combining the advantages of interferometry and digital processing are introduced. A real-time sensor system concept is proposed. (Author)
