Development and Evaluation of a Stabilized Gunnery Training Program

Abstract

A program to train M60A3 tank gunners in stabilized gunnery was developed, tried out, revised, and tried out again on a sample of soldiers. While experimental groups acquired significantly more knowledge about stabilized gunnery techniques than did control groups, they did not perform significantly better than controls on th criterion test.
