Interactive Graphics Package to Facilitate a Comparison of Data with Statistical Distributions.

Abstract

This report describes the usage of an interactive FORTRAN computer program written for use on a Tekronix 4014 graphics terminal connected to a CDC 74/825/6600 computers under the NOS/BE operating system. The package is designed for visual analysis of data, testing the hypothesis that the data can be considered to be from oen of several statistical distributions, density function parameter estimation, and performing one-sample goodness-of-fit tests. No prior computer experience is necessary to run this program; however, some statistical knowledge is required to interpret the output. A source code listing of the program may be obtained from the performing organization. Program and/or job control language modifications may be necessary for other than CDC computers and/or NOS/BE operating systems. (Author)
