Archaeological Mitigation of AR-102.

Abstract

The School of American Research was contracted by the U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers to perform a cultural resources survey of approximately 40 acres in the Upper Canoners area at Abiquiu Reservoir (see map), and to grid, collect and analyze a sample of the material on site AR-102 in order to mitigate the impact to that site from increasing useage as a campground and fishing area. The field work was accomplished in three days on June 26, 27 and 28, 1978.
