A Cultural Resources Overview and Preliminary Survey of the Cuchillo Negro, Mescal Arroyo, and Rio Grande Drainages Near Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

Abstract

The project had three aims: 1) review the literature and records on documented sites, excavations, historic references, and related archival material for the project area; 2) undertake a cursory survey to assess the potential of finding additional sites and to evaluate the quality of the previously recorded data; and 3) prepare an overview which describes and interprets the resources, predicts the location of others, and generalized about potential impacts of future water control projects.
