Abstract

A review is presented which gives a brief, largely chronological overview of the development of the different theories of hot corrosion. This review was the Keynote Lecture for the Gas Turbine Session of the Symposium on Corrosion in Fossil Fuel Systems, Electrochemical Society Meeting, Detroit, MI, October 1982. (Author)
