A Multivariate Analysis of Selected Socio-Economic Indicators in the Middle East.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to construct socioeconomic indices for twenty-one Middle East countries and use these indices to rank and scale the countries according to their socio-economic development levels. This study involves multivariate analysis of socio-economic data which would reflect the complex reality of the development levels and process; and give a more comparative picture of the development potential of the countries of the Middle East.
