Abstract

The filament wound, crashworthy 450 gallon H53 external fuel tank was subjected to a series of qualification tests to verify the design. The tests described within the report include physical measurements, pressure, slosh & vibration, static load, vapor ignition, ballistic, fuel fire & crash impact.
