Design and Test Criteria for Increased Energy-Absorbing Seat Effectiveness

Abstract

This report documents a research effort to increase the effectiveness of energy-absorbing seats, through improved design and qualification test criteria. Contained herein are descriptions of a parametric test program and analysis of seat and occupant response sensitivity to design and test variables.
