A Computer Program to Generate Theoretical Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Spectra

Abstract

A computer code for generating and plotting theoretical CARS (coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Spectroscopy) spectra is described. This code, which was obtained from Dr. A.C. Eckbreth of the United Technologies Research Centre, was modified for use on a Sigma-9 computer. The theory and computational procedure involved in generating CARS spectra is discussed and the input parameters and variables used in the code are described. Theoretical nitrogen spectra, which are presented for a range of experimental conditions are discussed.
