Assessment of the Study of Army Logistics 1981. Volume I. Executive Summary.

Abstract

The Commander, Department of the Army Materiel Development and Readiness Command (DARCOM), was tasked by the Chief of Staff, Army, to conduct the broad-scope study, not in this capacity as the DARCOM commander, but rather as a senior Army logistician. Study group members were drawn from within DARCOM, and were augmented from other commands and the Army Staff. As required, input was obtained from the Army Staff, Major Army Commands, other studies, and allied nations.
