Archaeological Test Excavations Near the Mouth Area of Kahoma Stream, Lahaina, Maui,

Abstract

The survey area extends along the south bank of the stream from Front Street seaward to the coast. The work was undertaken to assist in the planning for and environmental assessment of a proposed flood control project along the stream. The scope of the work described here was restricted to surface and limited subsurface investigation with the intent of collecting sufficient information to assess thee general nature of cultural resources in the area.
