A Study of Bird Ingestions Into Large High Bypass Ratio Turbine Aircraft Engines.

Abstract

A 1-year study has been conducted to document the numbers, weights, and species of birds being ingested into large high bypass ratio aircraft turbine engines. This study will continue into a second year. This interim report presents the findings to date. (Author)
