Users Manual for NCS( National Communications System) Facsimile Test Document Tapes.
Abstract
Delta Information Systems analyzed alternative resolutions for Group 4 facsimile. As part of this investigation four test documents were scanned with five candidate resolutions, and the results of all twenty scans were printed. After these 20 images were scanned considerable interest was expressed by the facsimile technical community in obtaining copies of the scanned data on magnetic tape. The purpose of this users' manual is to explain the background of the tapes and to describe the format of the scanned data on the tapes. A brief description of the major sections in the manual is provided below.
