Automatic Scaling of Digisonde Ionograms Computer Program and Numerical Analysis Documentation,

Abstract

Automatic scaling of Digisonde ionograms by the ARTIST system is discussed and reference is made to the ARTIST's success in scaling over 8000 ionograms. Some of the numerical methods implemented by the ARTIST system are described in detail and the logic of the ARTIST software is explained. The input necessary to and the output of the ARTIST system are also discussed.
