Transport Properties of Selected Elements and Compounds in the Gaseous State. Part 2.

Abstract

Tables of viscosity, thermal conductivity, and diffusion coefficient have been prepared for sixty-nine binary mixtures. The temperature range was from 100 to 3000 K. For the substances comprising the binary mixtures recent recommendations were used, some of these being taken from our earlier report (Part 1). For the mixtures the Lennard-Jones 6-12 potential was used for viscosity and diffusion, and a linear mixing rule was employed for thermal conductivity. The precision of the tabulated values is reviewed. It is concluded that significant discrepancies can still exist between theoretical and experimental quantities. (Author)
