Engine Handling.
Abstract
The Conference Proceedings contain 28 papers and a keynote address presented at the AGARD Propulsion and Energetics Panel 60th Symposium on Engine Handling, which was held in Marathon, Greece, on 11-14 October 1982. The Technical Evaluation Report is included at the beginning of he Proceedings. Questions and answers of the discussions follow each paper. The Symposium was arranged in six sessions: General Consideration of Design (2); Experience with Combat Aircraft Engine Handling (8); Thermal Transient Effects on Component Characteristics (4); Aerothermodynamic Interactions and Modeling in Engine Handling - I Compressor Systems (6) and II Engine Transient Behaviour (5); and Control System Concepts for Advanced Engine Handling (3). The Symposium was finalized with a Round Table Discussion. The purpose of the Symposium was to put together and review the present experience in the field of engine handling and to provide a forum where operational experts (pilots and maintenance engineers), engine developers and research scientists could exchange information and discuss their problems.
