The PMC (Preparata, Metze and Chien) System Level Fault Model: Maximality Properties of the Implied Faulty Sets.

Abstract

In this paper, we examine the implied faulty sets in the case of the PMC system level fault model. We show that those sets possess a maximality property whenever the system is one-step tau-diagnosable, no two modules test each other and the number of faulty modules is no larger than tau. In addition, we propose a syndrome-decoding algorithm based on that maximality property. (Author)
